The Wave

February 26, 2009

So we are just starting to read a new book. It’s called the wave. So we had to read chapters 1-4 for the first part of our assignment we read a couple chapters at a time and then we do a writing and a disscsion about it. So in the  first 4 chapters there are kids in class and they are getting documented on the Nazi Party. They have to write a essay on what they have learned but students dont listen and they wont do it. So a kid asks the teacher a question and he

doesnt know the answer. So the teacher goes home with books sorrounding the table trying to find this answer but it is no where to be found.  They learned in the documenty what hitler did to the germans. They learned that he burned all the bodies and turned them in to ashes.  These kids are stunned about what happened and realze what a bad man hitler was. These kids all smoke but lock the door so a teacher doesnt find it and if some one comes in they make it smell like nothing had happened.

My opinion on this story is that How would you get this on film? because way back then there was no such things as a camera or a video camera.  In the next few chapters i think that he wont be able to find the answer from which one of the students has asked. He will get frustrated because he doesnt know and then he will never find out what ever happened. He will start getting addicted like he did to the rest of the subjects and some how find out the answer to the question after weeks and weeks of looking. But the thing is how would a student know to ask this question if know one even knows the answer? So after all there are something that people never know and you might not be able to find out.

As a matter of fact, there were both cameras and video cameras at the time of World War 2. in fact cameras had been around for almost 100 years already at that point in time.
